About Me

I am a fully licensed clinical psychologist who works with people across the lifespan.

But before that...

I received my doctorate in school psychology in 2018 from an APA-accredited graduate program at Michigan State University.  I have worked across various settings, such as schools and outpatient settings. I have spent much of my career balancing clinical work and working in academia. I have always held social justice and social awareness close to my heart and strive to provide culturally sensitive care. I have published various manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals that have focused on understanding perceived discrimination and its effects on children and adults across various contexts.

I completed my post-doc at The Anxiety and OCD Center of Ann Arbor, where I received extensive training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for various sub-types of OCD, exposure for specific phobias, and habit-reversal therapy for trichotillomania.

I worked in academia as a core faculty member for almost 6 years and a program director for 3 of those years at an APA accredited doctoral program. I have a deep appreciation for the challenges and struggles graduate students and faculty members go through, as they try to navigate higher education in a healthy and sustainable way. I offer therapy services centered on stress management and coaching services centered on professional growth, goal setting, and problem solving.

How do I work?

I work collaboratively with you to find out your goals and values, and I integrate them into the appropriate therapy or intervention. I balance a directive approach with a client-centered approach to therapy.  I provide evidence-based practices to get you on your way to having a more fulfilling and values-driven life.

Some values that drive me and my work are:

Integrity

Empathy

Creativity

Humility

Where do I work?

I work out of an office in Troy and I also do telehealth/virtual therapy, let me know which you prefer and I can try to accommodate!
